For Android Phones

  1. In Settings, look under Wireless & Networks or tap the Connections tab.
  2. Tap Mobile network. You may need to select More settings, More..., or More networks first.
  3. Tap Access Point Names.
  4. Touch the three vertical dots and select Reset to Default. If not, press the Menu key or "+" and touch New APN.
  5. Verify these are the APN settings in your phone. If not, update accordingly:
    • Profile Name: PureTalk
    • APN: RESELLER (note: must be all CAPS)
    • MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
    • MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
    • MMS Port: 80
    • MCC: 310
    • MNC: 410 (280 if your SIM starts with 8901280)
    • Authentication Type: None
    • APN protocol: IPV4
    • APN Type: default,mms,supl (no spaces between each type)
  6. Press the Menu key and tap Save.
  7. Verify that the circle next to the APN is filled in or selected.
  8. Perform a soft reset. Hold down the power button until the device turns off and restarts.
  9. Let's make sure your data is working now. First, confirm Wi-Fi is turned off. Then, open up the Internet on your phone and visit any website. The webpage should load

For iPhones

These settings are automatically set to the correct values when PureTalk SIM cards are inserted and cannot be changed. You can reset your network settings to make sure they are correct.

  1. From the Home Screen, tap Settings > General > Reset.
  2. Tap Reset Network Settings.
  3. Type in the device password if prompted.
  4. Confirm selection.
