Meet Greg & Mminto: Finding balance, purpose, and most importantly, hope
When Greg Hartfelder, a Marine Corps Veteran with a 20-year career, met Mminto, a rescued Labrador Retriever, something remarkable happened—a second chance for both of them.
Greg says military service was always a calling. His father served. His grandfather served. “I always wanted to be in the military,” he told us. Today, Greg’s a husband, the father of two, and a high-school swim coach in Milton, Florida. Recently retired, he’s slowly adjusting to civilian life—a process made a whole lot easier with Mminto at his side.
Mminto was rescued, rehabilitated, and trained through K9s For Warriors to become a loyal service companion. Now, this once-abandoned dog has a mission—and Greg has the steady support he deserves.
Together, they’re living proof of what happens when you make the switch to PureTalk. Greg found balance. Mminto found purpose. And both found hope—thanks to PureTalk, K9s For Warriors, and you.
Wireless That Stands for Something—Including Second Chances
PureTalk is honored to have been a part of Greg and Mminto’s journey through K9 for Warriors. The pair graduated together at the Shari Duval Campus in Ponte Vedra, Florida, on September 18th, surrounded by fellow Veterans, families, trainers, and a few proud PureTalk faces.
Among those in attendance was Clint Romesha, former Staff Sergeant, Medal of Honor recipient and PureTalk brand ambassador. His words reminded everyone why this work matters—because honoring those who serve isn’t a slogan; it’s a responsibility.
What’s next for Greg and Mminto? Their story is now part of a national PureTalk campaign with Mike Rowe, airing on TV, radio, and podcasts. It’s a story about courage, compassion, and the power of second chances.
